To solve a problem, only to add more
With practice I was soon able to quickly machine a reasonable box joint. The jigi is nicely made by a furniture in China plant for the US market. It needs Imperial size spiral up cut router bits. So far I have only been able to purchase one size 1/4" from Rennie in the uk so have hade to make do with a straight 3/8" bit. The star clamp hardware is 20mm by 5mm, too big for my table and T-track, but simple enough to substitute a couple of clamps. The channels needed to be extended to fit my table. I will be getting a collet extender for my router and use one of the stainless steel router lifts. I believe Silverline are the UK distributers for Rockler but don't know if they sell the Rockler set of imperial bits for the jig. I do wish there was a European alternative or DIY plans for this application!
