Sorted the non-start condition on my 1999 A4
OE quality sensor - dual-sensor, in fact. Comes with clip and seal. Delivered to my door, for a tenner. Almost-total non-start when warm/hot was the issue. No problem with temperature gauge readings - just as there wasn't on previous Audi A4's I've owned when the CTS has needed changing. Adequate For The Job
2003 1.6 leon mk1 with inconsistent temp gauge but car engine heated normally, never overheating. Online advice pointed to engine coolant sensor. Due to age of car decided to try this less than1/3 price of vw part and so far so good. Worked instantly and changed part myself and re topped coolant lost so further saving.
