Easy to insert, comfortable, and very sound dampening.
They are easy to insert and fit well in the ear, and you do not need to shape these before inserting them. You can get the same ear plugs with a plastic string, depending upon your intended use. If you are going to wear them for sleep, you just need to maneuver the short "stick" a bit so it is in a position where it doesn´t poke. And, they are VERY sound dampening, definitely more effective than other types I´ve used. Not sure about the "stick" if you are using them under a (motorcycle) helmet, but i will try them out this spring.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

O.k., but lacking softness and comfort
These are merely o.k. Better than nothing, but they are not as soft as similar shaped ones from 3M I had previously used. To make them softer, soak them under warm or hot water. Otherwise, they hurt my ears after awhile. The Tri-Flanged earplugs are better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best earplugs I've found. . . at any price
I used this product when I worked in forging industry, they were furnished by the company, so most everyone used them. When I retired I took some with me to use on the shooting range, they have some great advantages for both. First, they're REUSABLE. Secondly, they're easy to put in and remove. Just twist the plug by its blue handle about 1/4 to 1/2 turn and they're IN, pull out. Third, they re fine for children, above 6 or so, they're so soft that they squeeze down to fit (also doesn't feel like your head is in a box). No rolling down small enough to fit into your ear (or being quick enough to put them in before they swell back up). Lastly, they last forever.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No strings
I have used these ear plugs before an they work better then any other ones I have used in the same price range. Problem with these was either I didn't notice in the picture or they came with no strings.
