Hammond XK-1c
As long as I can remember I've always listened to music that featured the Hammond organ and I always wanted to own one but the sheer size,weight and expense of a B3 has always deterred me from making such an investment and the so-called clones never really had that authentic sound...until now. This new portable version is a prayer answered for those of us without the finances to own a B3 or the crew and truck to move the thing. The XK-1c has that signature Hammond B3 sound down to a science and the Leslie simulator is very convincing. Hammond XK1c - Great Choice for Clonewheel
With a sound that equals or surpasses Nord, customizable organ sounds, good price, light weight, waterfall keys and a clean interface, the XK1c is a great choice for a dedicated clonewheel. For the price, there are inevitably tradeoffs, but no deal killers. It is not as "roadworthy" as some of my sturdier keyboards and the Leslie simulation is definitely a step below the Neo MiniVent. Almost perfect
This is a great keyboard. I bought it for playing in a Tom Petty cover band and the organ sound is right on. The bundle was a bonus because of the bag and pedals. I would have given this five stars except that the stand is not so great. It's a little flimsy and I worry that it wouldn't take much to knock it over. This organ keyboard is one of a kind. The sound is undeniable like no other I have ever heard. Its amazing and creative how they have designed a keyboard which contains all of the most popular sounds around especially the sound that enriches a church service. Simply AWESOME!!!!!.
