The king is in the altogether! Don't beleve the hype.
Fitting the card was a pain as I only have one slot on my motherboard, and it was being used.
Ho hum..aint that always the way :)
Only the drivers could be installed, as the other software is just a manipulation of windows media player, and if you do not use media player you do not get to install the software!
On first use the sound was so loud it was deafening. After adjusting the master sound slider, it was better, but some windows sounds were still very loud, and others quiet. Every little crackle, hiss and pop my computer made, came through clear as a bell; I was not happy with that at all. The sound quality from music and games was just the same as my old card, no better at all.
I had to send my card back to the seller as it had a fault with half volume in the right channel, but to be quiet honest it was a relief. I switched back to my old "Chinese no brand" 32bit Win XP pci 8 channel card, which was so much better in every way. I only changed it as I thought my pc would fair better using a 64bit card.
When I compare the price of each card, I realise the cost of hype.
