The Best Camera I Have Ever Owned!
I absolutely love this camera! It is by far the best point and shoot I have ever owned. I just got back from a beach vacation and had this camera with me every day. What a pleasure not having to worry about my camera not getting damaged from the water or the sand. I even took some underwater shots that came out great! Bought for Scuba Diving - so far so good
First impressions, easy to use and packed with nice features, very compact. The promise of 100ft without a special housing was what won me over from the Olympus, apart from the fact that I have been happy with all my Nikon products to date. I purchased this camera to replace my aging Sealife mini, which honestly didn't give me great pictures but did work underwater with no problems. In comparison the Nikon looks more fragile. First trip underwater was in the cold murk of New England, diving to a reef in 43 feet of water off Rockport, MA. The camera worked flawlessly, as easy to use underwater as above, all controls easily accessed and not stiff. Considering the murky water (about 10-15ft visibility and full of particles) the camera took some excellent pictures. Color balance was acceptable with only minor changes made by auto correcting in Photoshop. The conditions at Rockport did not allow the autofocus to work well, too much matter in the water, and using flash gave poorer results than without for the same reason. I expect to get really good results in clearer water, and a video light would probably help the autofocus. So far so good, with my old camera I could not get any photos at all in the same kind of conditions. The camera seems to have suffered absolutely no issue with being immersed in seawater, I am not sure I would test out the 100ft claim (maybe 60ft) but even at 43ft this is close to the limit of most of the competition. As an additional comment. The camera also comes with a compass (that you MUST calibrate by following the instructions or it won't work) and a depth gauge. Both are easily usable while at the same time using the camera as a camera. (It also has a very usable GPS to get you to the dive site). The depth gauge was within 1ft at all times of my very expensive dive computer (Galileo Lunar) and the compass was about right at all times. A great backup feature, and a little easier to use/read than that on the Olympus.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No Brainer

Amazed and Happy
Truly excellent point and shoot camera with waterproof capability. I am a long time fan of Nikon cameras, so it was a small surprise that this camera would take good photos even under water. Ideal camera for both under and above water
This camera meets and goes beyond my expectations. There are many, many functions. There is a learning curve; just experiment and have fun. Went snorkeling and scuba diving down to 50 feet in St. Croix USVI. Super clarity of corals, fish, and sea life. GREAT BUY AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION
Almost like new camera with great looks and quality shots. Haven't exposed it to water yet but is the real reason I bought it. Camera was not the one in the photo supplied which was evidently a new one but had minor wear on the lettering on the front of the camera which was not a big issue. I was pleased to find it in good condition however and hope in a few months on vacation I will be able to take underwater shots without any problem.
