The Biggest and the Baddest! Pairing the Marshall DSL100 with a Full Stack of an MX412A Angled and MX412B Straight Cab provides a hardcore performing amplifier for players who want to sound huge.
Killer high gain MODERN Marshall sound. The clean channel is great, crunch channel is too (although you cannot switch between those sounds without pushing a tiny little button on the face of the amp) Lead channel is really good up to 4 or 5 on the gain knob, after that it gets to saturated for my needs - but if you need it, its there!
This wont scratch your vintage Marshall tone itch...but it will pummel your senses into nothingness with its punch and loudness.
This amp turns into a beast when the volume on the lead channel hits 4, up to then it is a great sounding high gain amp...but when you crank it it punches you straight in the chest. Awesome amp.
THIS IS MY FIRST MARSHALL AMP!!, I HAVE PLAYED GUITAR FOR OVER 30 YEARS NOW, MOSTLY 60s STUFF, AND LIKE A LOT OF ELECTRIC GUITAR PLAYERS THE VERY NAME "MARSHALL" SIGNIFIES ""THE AMP OF AMPS", THE GODFATHER OF ROCK AND ROLL AMPS, THE UNQUESTIONED STANDARD BEARER, ALSO IT MEANT SHELLING OUT A LOT OF CASH TO BUY ONE. WELL THE NEWEST MARSHALL DL 100 IS AN AFFORDABLE FULLY CAPEABLE WELL BUILT SOLID AMP. THE FIT AND FINISH ON MINE IS BASICALLY PERFECT, ALL THE CONTROL KNOBS ARE TIGHT AND SMOOTH, THE TAPER IS VERY GOOD, BECAUSE I HAVE SONIC-SENSITIVE NEIGHBORS, I CANNOT RUN MY AMP AT VERY HIGH VOLUMES, BUT STILL I CAN HEAR THOSE GREAT MARSHALL TONES, THE AMP IS VERY QUIET WHEN NOT BEING PLAYED NO GROUND HUM AT ALL, THE E.Q. SECTION WHILE SOMEWHAT LIMITED (LO-MID-HI), DOES A VERY GOOD JOB OF TAILORING THE TONAL QUALITIES OF THE AMP. BECAUSE IT IS MADE IN VIETNAM I WAS LEERY OF BUYING IT, I READ MANY REVIEWS ABOUT THIS AMP THAT COVERED BASICALLY All ASPECTS RELATED TO THE BUILD QUALITY TO THE PERFORMANCE AND I FOUND THAT THAT LARGE MAJORITY OF REVIEWS WERE VERY FAVORABLE, AND I AGREE WITH THEM THIS IS A GREAT AMP AT A GREAT PRICE!
I’ve wanted a Marshall amp for years but didn’t want to pay for a JCM800. The DSL100H nails the classic overdrive I wanted plus heavy stuff if I want it. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
