Fantastic HOTAS
Had been playing Elite Dangerous on a Thrustmaster HOTAS One, which was fine, but not up to scratch when playing in VR. Once I set up a profile, I can now do everything from combat to trading without taking my hands off the joystick and throttle, it is incredibly immersive. Fantastic purchase!

Disappointed
Unfortunately my experience with this product was very disappointing. There appeared to be a problem with the spring on the joystick. After a short movement either left or right the joystick more or less 'stuck' so more pressure had to be applied. The net result of this was a jerky type movement which made even the simplest of missions ver difficult to complete successfully. I checked up on various web sites, and quite a few people had the same problem. This was not a new unit, so cannot comment on any new model, but this experience has put me off Saitek, sorry.

Awesome bit of kit
Really great piece of equipment. Lots of sliders and axis, a few more would be good, but as a mid-range bit of kit, absolutely brilliant.

Poor programming and not the quality it used to be
This my second X52 and is a bit of a disappointment. Standards have deteriorated obviously, build quality has decreased but it's still okay. Programming software is still a pain and the USB 3.0 issue should have been rectified. Don't expect a positive experience with Saitek support if you run into difficulties. Not sure that it is worh more than £100 these days.
