Love not having to buy cartridges!
Purchased this printer used. It arrived in great condition, as promised! I filled the tanks and began to print. I've had it for over a year without having to fill the tanks again. Only issue with the printer is that it prints lines in most pictures or things that have heavy ink application. I went through the menus to do print head maintenance and it improved, but not great for pictures! It prints text documents very well! It works well for me printing just plain text documents and the few things I print from the internet and such! SOOOO happy to not be buying $80+ of HP cartridges every time I turn around! My only other issue with the printer is the scanner interface on the computer. I am so used to HP's interface that lets me scan a document and name it whatever I want and save it wherever I want at the time of scanning. The Epson scanner interface names the document a default name and saves it to a default location. I then have to go and rename the file and move it to where I want to save it! So, I keep my old broken HP just for the scanner and use it when I scan documents!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not straight forward
It took some extra effort to set up the printer because the software had to be updated in order to get the "Power Flush" to function properly. The color is inconsistent and the colors are not always accurate. There are sometimes an extra step to print. Saves Ink. That's it.
Most reviews have the same complaints. The menu is sparse and a little difficult to navigate. The paper tray doesn't hold many sheets. Changing to envelopes is very slow and cumbersome. It is pricey when compared to the features provided. On the upside, the ink system is great. I'll save a thousand bucks with this machine. The quality is VERY GOOD -- much better than the Chinese bootleg CIS systems sold on ebay which I wrestled with on an old Epson printer for five years. No problems at all and very good imaging on cheap paper with no bleeding. Now I hope this thing doesn't "sunset" after 10K copies as many Epson printers do. They are planned to stop working at a certain time and must be replaced. Time will tell if Epson screwed me with this. We'll see. So Far I Love It!

Not As I Thought
The printer look very nice and the setup is a little complicated when trying to install on my Macbook. The quality of printing is not as good as my Kodak printer. FINALLY got rid of the ink cartridge scam!!!!
I FINALLY purchased a printer where I did not have to purchase ink cartridges every two weeks. The ink cartridge SCAM should be considered illegal.
