'Fast fit' Yes I agree.
It's called a fast fit shower because that's what it is. The left or right water inlet makes fitting easier and only three electrical wires to connect, also left or right fitting. I managed to remove the existing shower unit and had the new one up and running including the riser rail and handset within three hours. An easy to operate shower, just two temp dials and an on/off button, it's all you need. Great value for money and a good reliable brand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pros and Cons
As a fast fit replacement for the T70, it isn't as the left vertical conduit was too crammed to accommodate wiring & plumbing. Not even enough space for plumbing alone. I had to change position so as to let wiring & plumbing to enter different conduits. Plumbing using push-fit leaks just a micro tiny bit because the space inside is crammed and out by 1 mm here & there. If they made the casing more rectangular, then these problems would not arise. I did not use PTFE tape when I screwed the shower head attachment together and it leaked like a fountain. It was impossible to unscrew by hand. Required some ingenuity using rubber as a cushion for a variable spanner. Casing screws were troublesome to attach. Make sure you grip the screw with a tool when you try screwing in. Make sure the wires do not interfere with the low pressure lever inside the casing. Good looking, powerful pump, good temperature control, and fantastic shower head to deliver 3 different patterns of water - jet, spray1, spray2. Good buy for the price if you are prepared to put in effort of installation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Triton T80Z Fast Electric Shower 8.5kW
Bought to replace my Triton Topaz T80si because spares no longer available as it has become obsolete. I’ve only ever bought Triton showers. They’re so well made and relatively easy to install, and spares normally readily available. This shower is fine, but takes longer to heat than it’s predecessor. Also it tends to be hot hot hot when switched off and on during use, followed by it becoming cold before reheating to set temperature. I guess one will get used to this, but it do think it wastes water because of this. The Topaz lasted 18 years in a hard water area (Kent), as did the Triton shower before it. Easier than I expected.
Lives up to its name. Not replaced an existing shower before, but connection to existing power and water straightforward enough. You don't get installation instructions in the box though . Great shower with one small reservation
If, like me, you turn the shower on and off once or twice during the showering cycle, then you have to watch out for the first few seconds when switching on again, as the water comes out much hotter than you might expect. It is not scalding and it soon settles down, but you need to be aware. I could not call this a fault, as I think that the heat retained in the heater element continues to heat the water in the tank for a short time after turning off. Bought this to replace my old shower and in my haste chose the 8.5kW version finding out only when I took the old one off that it was a 9.5kW I had. However there was quite an improvement none the less. As hot as you like and much stronger pressure (I guess the old one was full of limescale - it owed me nothing. Great shower.
