A Must For Apple Users
I have a relatively small house, about 1800 sq ft. My internet router is located in the rear corner of my 1st floor, so the 5 Ghz doesn’t reach my bedroom on the second floor opposite corner of the house. I disabled my ISP Wifi I radio and installed thIs Airport Extreme, created a new wireless network, and added a wired Airport Express to extent the 5 GHz SSID. It worked FANTASTIC! It’s a shame that’s Apple stopped making this product, it’s the only product that seems to truly be able to easily extent an existing Apple WiFi network without creating a separate SSID. This AirPort Extreme is only a 4th generation, most likely 10 years old, but it’s the best WiFi my home has ever had! I plan on purchasing a backup, 6th generation A1521 to replace this older Express, but won’t do so until it finally kicks the bucket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Only Works with AirPrint Approved Printers
The router interface app Airport Utility only has generic settings. Will only work with AirPrint printers. Impossible to print to non-AirPrint printers from iPad because Apple does not allow third party apps into their innards. I really regret buying my new iPad. A good Router
Router is in great shape. It was a little bitty, but it cleaned up just fine. I’m using it as a wireless bridge over 5ghz network for my Gaming room. It’s also providing LAN for gaming consoles that lack a WiFi chip(Backwards compatible PS3).

Extend 5 GHz Network with AirPort Extreme
The AirPort Extreme A1354 4th Generation was ordered because that is what we already had. After realizing the network, here, needed to be extended. Bought a second one to accomplish that task.
