A great mouse, no problems with charging connection position for me!

Overall this mouse works really well. So well, that even though it is horrendously expensive (for me) I cannot do without one. So when my battery version died from having fallen off my lap just once too often, I had to get a replacement. Some reviews have derided the battery charge connection being on the bottom so the mouse cannot be used when charging. I'm assuming Apple had a reason for this, whether it was a good one or bad I don't know but I do not find it a problem at all. The battery lasts ages between charges and if it gets low I put it on charge over night or when I go and get a drink - it has not died on my yet in over a month's use. Don't let those reviews put you off. I did get a cheap (£2.75) mouse from eBay to give me a backup for when the magic one breaks or runs down and using it shows why I need to better quality Apple one. If you cannot afford a new one, get a second-hand one for half the price as I did. It's a great mouse.

    Apple design - Apple price

Apple design - Apple price. It works well - but it's a lot of money for a second hand mouse. Battery life is great, payback vs the one with non rechargeable batteries - probably several years.

  • "Making light use of the mighty mouse"

The shape of the product is perfect for grip and operation, also when it's used its electrical energy can quickly be replenished, say over a few hours or overnight by recharging from one of the rear ports. You can also be super economical by switching the device off when it is not in use.

  • Nice sleak design.

Nice size and weight to the mouse and once you have set it up with the funcitons you require it becomes a very useful tool. Only one small issue for me, I'd like the edges to be a little smoother for my touch. This may just be me getting used to a different type of mouse.

  • Great Product - difficult to get it off the ground.

The Apple Magic Mouse is great and I love it. I cannot say it is easy to use. Infact in the early days it is frustrating because there were not instructions or guidance. I guess Apple is only catering to geeks. Thank you YouTube contributors for the helping hand. Saying what I said, I do love the mouse and yes, now I even enjoy using it.

  • Good mouse. Upgraded from Magic Mouse to Magic Mouse 2

All round good wireless mouse.. however I see no difference between this and the original Magic Mouse except the fact you can charge the Magic Mouse 2 instead of using 2 x AA batteries. No complaints here though. As always good apple product but I wouldn’t rush out to upgrade from Magic Mouse to Magic Mouse 2.

  • A great design with amazing range

Very slick and simple, great design and just flows nicely. The range is amazing, plenty to leave my laptop a good distance away and use the mouse as if I am right next to it.

  • Apple Magic Mouse 2

Once again Apple have created an amazing product. Beautifully sleek and implement to look at, but also highly functional & precise. The mouse copes with multiple features to acces different commands, such as single finger click, double finger click, scroll, swipe and so on with ease. The mouse connects via Bluetooth, & is easy to set up within the 'mouse' section of 'system preferences'. Once initially paired it automatically links and is ready to use. There is the option to 'name' your mouse, so you could have more than one linked at any one time. By far the best feature in my opinion has to be the fact it is rechargeable (via the standard Apple Lightening cable). The battery seems to last me for ages - well over a month on a single charge! It goes into 'sleep mode' when not used for a while - there is no need to switch it off when you're to using this. The benefit is you also don't need to switch it on for use either. There is an on/off switch on the base if you don't want to use the mouse for any reason. The only downside is for some reason the recharge port is underneath on the base of the mouse. I suppose they didn't want to spoil the sleek look of the mouse, but it means you cannot use te mouse whilst it is on charge. (I just charge mine overnight). I'd like to see a battery level indicator constantly on the screen display, but a low battery warning pops up to remind you to recharge. In the mean time you cn view the sitters level from within the mouse section in 'system preferences'. In summary - a quality product as I would expect from Apple - a pleasure to use & highly recommended!

  • Good performer but designed for small hands

The bluetooth works really well, unlike some other leading-br and bluetooth mice I have been using. But the small, slim Magic Mouse is a tad uncomfortable for average size male hands. I improved the grip of the light and slippery little wedge with an inexpensive silicone part-sleeve.
