Sigma 150-600 mm f5-6.3 DG OS HSM contemporary telephoto zoom
Great lens. The manual focus feels great and changing the focal length feels good. It can also be locked at different focal lengths auto focus is fast if switched to 2.8m-10m and at 10m-infinite. It feels sturdy it’s also quite heavy but manageable without a tripod. Highly recommend this lens for anyone into wildlife photography on a budget.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Super Sigma
The lens is everything I expected, sharp images, rapid and positive focusing. I have two sigma lenses and both perform brilliantly. It is important to say the lens is heavy (1.8 kg) but the balance is good around the tripod point. Manual focus is a little fiddly to findwith only a narrow plain knurled ring but no problem when the fingers know what to feel for. Delivery from GW Cameras (Swindon) was exceptionally fast, about 20 hours from placing the order to receipt....and I didn't even pay for next day delivery!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Big but very good :)
It's not a small lens nor light (2 kg). But the bulid quality is very good, it's solid and beautiful, with very precise moving parts. Don't try to use it with a tripod attached to the camera body, only use its own collar for balance! It's easy to rotate the body on it to portrait if needed. The image quality is fantastic, very sharp also on the full opened apertures. If you use it on 500-600mm or with a 2x multiplier then you should use the stabilization ON with images or videos because the high shaking in a lightest wind (or a super massive tripod) and also a remote controller is useful to not shake with touching the body. This is a great lens for anyone who wants to shoot small or distant subjects like birds but does not want the weight, bulk and expense of a pro quality lens. Pin sharp, fast and reliable AF, very effective OS. Used on apsc D7200. Monster diameter front element! Overall, an excellent buy. [Vendor delivered fast and well packed]. Absolutely nothing negative to say. An enhancement? .. a 20mm long spigot to help wind the zoom ring in an out? Lens also provides arm muscle workout if h/held ! Bought one of these last month.....so much better than the last model (150-500mm) Images are clear and much sharper. Its still a relatively"slow"lens and performs best on a bright day but generally I'm really pleased with it. Amazing lens I was looking for a 100-400 canon L lens but this came up. Close to the Canon price but an extra 200mm. All the photos were taken handheld, can't fault it for the price and sharpness, though it is fairly heavy but there is s lot of glass in there. The front element is 97mm. If you want a long reasonably priced long lens this is the one.

Supprised by the hand-held shots
Felt a little heavy when first fitted to my D7000 but soon got used to it !!!!! Was very surprised by the quality of hand-held shots even at 600mm - even cropped still looked good with the camera on auto. Well worth the money in my eyes. Sigma 150-600 contemporary lens
Bought this lens because I already own some Sigma lenses and have been very impressed by them. I have used this lens a few times and have been amazed at how good the images are when hand held at full zoom. When using a tripod the pictures are even better.
