Missing UA Thunderbolt option card on Apollo 16 can make the installation/connection difficult
One thing that was missing and very much needed was the Thunderbolt option card [where an empty slot in the back was located]. You absolutely NEED this in order to run this interface via Firewire, especially if the last user of this item ran it via Thunderbolt. Universal Audio requires you to either upgrade or downgrade the UA software, depending on which port you're running through. Unfortunately I have to spend extra money to get the option card in order for the device to be detected at all. Not what I expected, but I have the part now so I'm mostly satisfied. I wish I got one of these WITH the Thunderbolt option card. Chances are you can get it for around the same price I purchased this one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
