  • THE PEAVY T-60

The T-60 guitar was introduced in the early nineteen eighties by Hartley Peavy as an economical good sounding solid value guitar. In came out at a time when Fender and Gibson were raising prices on their popular models which were suffering major quality control issues. The Peavy T-60 Guitar only recently has begun escalating in value due to its sweet combination of tone and magical phase switch built into the pickguard. Much like the maligned Fender Jaguar and Jazzmaster, the T-60 is catching on later on in life with a new generation of players. The only obvious setback is the weight of the guitar. Much like their amplifiers, Peavy built everything to last. To say the Peavy T-60 is built like a Sherman tank would be an understatement. There are still models available at at bargain prices but don't wait too long, the Peavy T-60 will indeed become a " collectable" simply because of its unmatched monster tone and pickups. Play one and you will see what I mean !!!

  • Les Paul Weight, Shredder Neck, Versatile Pickups

I have owned four T-60's now. The unique way of going from single coil to humbucker by rolling off the tone control is genius. It always seems to sit nicely in the mix when playing with the band and handles clean and distorted tones well. I can play any range of styles with all of the pick up combinations and because it sounds great both clean and Judas-Priest-distorted. The weight can vary, but my white one is 9.6 lbs. This is not a third-set guitar! It is comfortable to hold, but, like the Les Paul, can get heavy fast. The necks are considered some of the best around, but are very thin, The C or D shape will fell more comfortable if you are playing for house and hours.

  • Tele Killer!

Ugly as homemade sin...BUT it's like a Tele and Les Paul had a baby. If you could only have one guitar for a recording session and needed it to do everything, this is it. History will prove Hartley Peavey was a genius.

  • Outstanding little used guitar

This is one of the best Peavey T-60 guitars I have seen or played. It has very little wear and tear, the pickups, selectors, and switches work flawlessly, no scratching or distortion. Even the pick guard had little wear and tear. The "toasters" are a great look and sound. The thin neck makes it easier to play. Peavey T-60s are in my mind one of the best though undervalued solid body electric guitars that you can buy. The only drawback for some people is that they tend to be a little on the heavy side but I like the feel of a good solid instrument. I'm looking forward to playing my Peavey T-60 for many many years.

  • Excellent buy for a broken nut .

Guitar was like new except for a broken piece of the nut at the sixth string. The piece was actually in the shipping box so I used some gorilla glue let it sit a bit set the guitar up and jammed on. Spiderman would be jealous , ha ha.. GREAT BUY !!! 😎

  • Best guitars for the money on the planet

I have Les Paul's and these guitars play closer to the neck and have far more tone possibility's. go from hum bucking to single coil by a slight volume adjustment. Remember these guitars were built in 1978. Way ahead of it's time. Ten years from now you are not going find one of these for under $1000.00 even in so so shape.

  • T 60

The guitar is a treat to play. True to the reviews. High quality, fast neck, very wide range of tone possibilities. The build quality is equal to guitars that are far more expensive. Peavey gets it right.
