  • Display is amazing, menus and smart features work well, but with some quirks

The display is simply outstanding on this TV. 4K, HDR content looks gorgeous in OLED. 3D works great. The built in native apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime work quite well. No lag really as I've seen on other smart TVs. The soundbar gives a pretty decent output, but but of course still nothing compared to having it connected to a receiver with decent speakers. Having spent a good deal of time with the TV now, really my only 'issue' is that some of the settings and menus are quirky. Some examples: The media playback of local content can sometimes claim "network unstable" and then you try again and it works. Wireless or hardwired, it still happens randomly. Definitely not a problem with the network (cat6 LAN and no other devices stutter), and it never has problems with say Netflix or Amazon Prime native apps. Also by default, TruMotion is turned on for all inputs, and this causes the "soap opera" smoothing effect that many (including myself) cannot stand. You have to turn it off manually for each input and mode, and sometimes it seems to reset. This is irritating, but I think I've caught most of them now. the ARC (Audio Return Channel) and smart HDMI features seem to work well if you use things that only rely on that, but as soon as you switch to an input that does not use it, it seems to sort of break the ability to switch back to it. Only solution I've found is the quick fix of turning the TV/Receiver off and back on. Seems to correct it every time, at least. To summarize: The display is 5 stars, hands down. This is obviously the most important part of a TV, so I fully recommend it. The features, 4-5 stars for what works well, and 3-ish stars for the features with quirks that can sometimes cause irritation working around. Thus I'd give the overall rating 4 to 4.5 stars.

  • TV is in a class by itself

This TV was the top rated TV for the 2016 60 inch larger TV ratings. The colors on it are so well defined that "the real world" appears washed out. when my son in law was setting it up, we looked at a video of a snake in a tree. You could actually see the snakes breathing as the breath went into his body. Red parrot feathers were various subtle shades of red with excellent definition of where they ended on the body. The sound is actually quite good, but I will stick with my Denon 7.1 channel amp instead. There are a surprising number of aps built into the TV, with more to surely follow as LG continues to expand its reach. Viewing angles are close to 170 degrees, but nobody would set up a viewing area with anything near that, so you might as well say unlimited. The set up of the Universal Remote was easy given the built in software. My only real complaint was that LG charges you lots for this service, and then gives you a cheapo manual. I mean couldn't they have charged you an extra $1.99 and given you a decent manual instead. One final caution is that there is not much access to any built in ports. I needed more ports than they included, so I put a short HDMI cable onto one of theirs and I can manually swap it out when I need to hook up some extras such as my wifes laptop. Overall, this is hands down the best TV that I have ever seen, and my Gen X kids are jealous over Pop's new toy. That was getting to be fairly rare, but every one of them is already calling dibs on the TV.

  • Great TV for watching movies and gaming.

This is the best TV I ever bought. The looks of it is classy, innovative, and very light for a 65 incher. The setup was simple. Answer a few questions, setup your network and off you go. The factory settings are pretty good, and unless you are a perfectionist you'll keep them as they are. I fiddled with the settings, turned off all the fancy options. I just changed the skin color a little bit. The sound is ok, and if you don't have a home theater system, you'll be satisfied, But of course if you have an AVR you'll turn off the TV speaker. Of all the picture settings, I just use "Expert (dark room)" for TV and movies, and "Game (user)" for my PC. Oh, and the price and the trucking delivery were all first class. I am very happy with my TV.

  • Best TV Ever

I know these TV's are expensive but every now and then you do get what you pay for and this is one of those occasions. The picture is unbelievable. It has a depth of field that makes the picture amazing. It was very easy to set up even for me who is all thumbs. The shopping experience and delivery were all first class. Will definably do business with again.

  • Beautiful and Thin but mounting is at bottom

Beautiful picture and very bright. Thin 1/4 inch panel but electronics and mounting screws are at bottom of tv. I replaced a Panasonic Plasma which had mounting screws in middle of tv. Installer had to move bracket down my wall so that he could connect to LG OLED. Also, screws for connecting to TV are not same. Very easy to set up and LG TV walked through all items to connect remote to set top box.

  • Amazing picture quality, simply breathtaking black colors

I love this TV. I replaced a regular LED panel with this masterpiece. Out of the box it worked flawlessly. I might re-calibrate it later but even now it works great. The colors are so bright, saturated and even my 1080p collection of movies looks as if it is 4K. Now I have to re-watch my movies, especially the most recent ones.

  • Beautiful picture, deepest blacks possible, best 3D I've ever seen anywhere.

This TV provides a better movie watching experience at home than you'll find in a Theater. The 4K, HDR and 3D are all exceptional. Early on I found the Monoprice HDMI cable I was using wasn't sufficient and in a rush to find a solution I purchased a $100 monster HDMI cable locally. This sounds dumb and overly expense but it resolved the white sparkle issue I was having with the low price Monoprice cable and I was up and running in an hour as opposed to having to wait days to get a new cable from Monoprice and hope it worked. This isn't an endorsement for overpriced retail HDMI cables, it's just me stating that I believe cabling was an issue that I have resolved. Even with a new HDMI cable I have run into issues running 4K signals from my Xbox One S and Tivo Bolt and having the LG TV accept the signals with out errors. In both cases I have changed the video output on the Xbox and Tivo to 1080p for now and I'm planning to troubleshoot later. I don't know if it's a DRM/Handshake issue, issue with the Audio receiver switching the sources, or something else. Hopefully with some tinkering and firmware updates for several components I can overcome this issue. In the short term I'm not worried about getting 4k out of my Tivo or Xbox because I watch 4K content on an Oppo 4K player and using the Netflix app residing on the TV, but it would be nice to get everything working in harmony.

  • Excellent

We are really pleased with the quality picture and technology in our smart tv. This is a very good buy at the price I got it for. The delivery was excellent, the guys came in a van and dropped it off in my house. They hooked up the tv to make certain everything was operating normally before they left. It’s been almost two years now and we are exceedingly happy with the company and eBay and look forward to future purchases.

  • Best TV ever

If you care about picture quality above all things, get this TV. If you need to save money or just can't get yourself to spend nearly $3k on a TV then this isn't for you. But if you take the plunge, prepare to rewatch all your favorite movies all over again. Pure black levels make movies so much more immersive. Also, this is your last chance to get a 3D OLED TV as LG has already dropped the feature from their 2017 lineup.
