Gr8 Speakers, Even Gr8r VALUE!
As I listen to these while I write this, I don't even want to leave the house...they're that good! A little larger than others, but not those boxy things that spoil modern decors nowadays - they look very nice, and the little extra space needed is worth it. Definitely better than anything else you will find for under $1K, probably better than anything you can get under $1500. The frequency range, warmth, and clarity are notable positives in all speakers. I think the good old-fashioned solid wood cabinets, with the added "technology" of adding curvature for sound shaping, are the difference, as well as the more technologically advanced crossover capacitor systems. But you don't have to know all that, just set back and enjoy!! One note: the "weak link" theory really applies to sound systems, so get a good receiver. And as other reviewers have noted, the subwoofer is the weakest of the 6 speakers (it's sufficient, but doesn't have the WOW factor of the Center, Fronts, and Satellites). I happened to have a 200-Watt Energy sub, and am now using both of them in a 5.2 system - in most environments its worth it to add a 2nd sub anyway, and you can even do it with a 5.1 receiver with non loss of performance --- BOOM BOOM:):)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worth the investment wonderful performing add-ons!!!!
Way better than expected performance from these speakers! I bought 4 to complete my Dolby Atmos home theater and the impact is a night and day improvement over my old 7.1 system. I had been using some small bookshelf speakers as my front Atmos Speakers (angled up) in a 7.1.2 setup, but now with these Pioneer speakers in a 7.1.4 configuration my theater is unbelievable. The surprising thing is how well these speakers blend with my Triad speaker system, incredibly seamless and well worth the investment and setup time.
