    Good multifunction

I have had it only a short time, but functions well for printing, copying, and scanning. A little trouble connecting to my wi-fi network, but after reset works correctly. Since I have a Mac computer and the included disk is for PC, I downloaded the software from Canon which was fairly quick and straight forward. It replaces a 7100 series and since uses the same ink cartridges I had them in stock. Staples will take old printers for appropriate recycling, and has ink cartridges in stock.

    Different quality of the product

Fisrt time my order was good Package was alittle dirty, but print was good status. I was Printing some photos for 2 weeks. Quality is very good and no problem with useing. Second order was terrible. Shipping was fast too. But print was bad. There is many scratch and sticky dirt on the scan pannel. Some scrape on the front cover. I'm very dissapointed. You don't need to be apolioze to me. But be careful to other person who will be purchase next time

  • Probably a Good Printer

My first inkjet. I've always had lasers. This printer clunks, hums, and makes various other sounds when doing its maintenance operations but I suppose that is normal for an inkjet--I'm used to the smooth and quiet laser. But I needed color and this was recommended by a friend. The only issue was during setup I spent a long time trying to get it to work in wireless mode. I have a laptop that connects no problem but I could not get the printer to work. The error claimed I had no network and after two hours of trying to make it work, I gave up and ran a cable. That connected fine. I could probably get Geeksquad to come figure out how to make it work but that would cost more than the printer, which was a surprisingly low $100. This wireless stuff is beyond me. I'm amazed the laptop works if I don't even have a network. Scanning and printing work fine. I think the quality is quite good although I really have nothing to compare it to. I'd recommend it.

  • Bought this mainly for printing disc media

Have not really used the printer yet for the purposes I purchased it. Mainly using it for regular printing on paper so that's why only 4 stars for right now. I do like the design and print speed so far. Having to register paper size with the printer is a little different for me but no biggie. I have owned Canon printers the last 10 or 12 years & I will continue to do so!

  • Good replacement for my old one.

Same as my old one which fizzled out. I like the print quality. It does print slowly and use a lot of ink but it is good for home use, if you also need good professional color reprod. at times.

  • Okay - but you can probably do better

Pro's: Good print quality Takes cheap generic ink without protest Auto-duplex Prints cd/dvd labels Cons: Slow and noisy Paper jams and other errors Randomly goes offline and refuses to respond Summary: You can get a brand new Canon with the same specs on special offer for a similar price. If you do, don't forget a 4-year Square Trade warranty - you will probably need it.

The printer is an excellent purchase the quality of the pictures are great, however the printer came without a cd tray in which to make cd or dvd to archive your photo.

  • Excellent support of my work world and my personal passions with the quality of the product.

Once we had it working and connected to our computer, the product was excellent. The quality of the printed visual pictures that I use to support the student's I work with is excellent. My husband made an excellent choice in purchasing this product. Copies of photographs are also excellent. Thank you for your product and your support.

  • Great printer, besides ink not lasting long

Great printer, I had this before and after several years, it went out... I have always liked the quality of prints this dishes out, so that's why I bought it again... very simple to set up and start printing right away... only thing, ink don't last long enough, and very expensive... and I don't like using 3rd party inks, but you have to do what you have to do... I just don't think after using 3rd party inks, it lasts long after years of using... I know because I tried it.

  • Excellent print quality

Excellent print quality for documents and photos. Excellent scanner. Kind of a hassle switching between paper and envelopes because envelopes can't be fed in individually, but must be substituted for paper in the paper drawer.
