HP Officjet 7612
Had to play around to get driver to install at all on windows 10 . Not all functions work that came with printer from the computer, but will work at the printer. . I was up set to find out that I couldn't make or print custom sizes like my old printer . With a lot of research on the web , I found some one that said how to install drivers for HP Deskjet 9800 which gave me the means to make custom print sizes which worked with the HP OfficeJet 7612 to my surprise. It even allowed me to put a check mark in a final preview before printing which I had in my old printer which allows you to see a better look at what the print is going to cut off or not from your photo you want to print . . I have another program that allows me to use the scanner from the computer called vuescan , which works with all scanners on any windows . I did install the drivers on a laptop with windows XP which gave me all the functions for the all in one printer thru the computer . It is used as a emergency back up only . Good for old OS technology like Vista using USB connection.
Note: It reguires special set up ink cartridges. This is my 3rd 7612. The printhead went bad on 1st 2. It scans 11 x 17 & prints 13 x 19. It needs to be used regularly. I run one colorful print if I run only blk & White. Shake ink before inserting. Push in to insure ink flow. I hope to get a couple years use before this printhead needs replaced & there is a new printer for 13 x 19 & 11x 17 scan with USB connection and CD installation. My desktop is not connected to internet by choice. Tired of hacks and viruses. Still use Vista and words 2007.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
