  • Does what it says on the tin

I used this to remove locking nuts on our lexus rx450. Mine were particularly awkward as they were fitted with the external spinning sleeves designed to make it more difficult to remove. I selected the correct size from the box, lined them up and tapped them on with a lump hammer. I then used the tool provided to drive the socket fully over the locking nut. I used an electric impact gun to remove the nut but I expect a normal socket wrench would do the job. Now the difficult part...once removed, the locking wheel nut is stuck very tightly into the removal socket. A tool is provided to remove the locking nut but everything will need holding in a vice and required some serious persuasion with a lump hammer to get the locking nut out of the socket so you can use it again on the next locking nut. Keep fingers well clear, I didn't and now have a lump of flesh missing. All in all great bit of kit, you will of course need replacement locking nuts to replace the ones you have removed.

  • Good design to combat the ever design changing locking wheel nut

We have only used it once but have made four fiths of its cost doing so. It is a affordable tool that works removing the trades demon- the locking wheel nut. We don't know have long it will last, as to use it you have to give it a good bashing. We feel confident that not only will we break even cost wise but also own another arrow in our pouch/toolbox to help repair our customers car problems.
