Sonos Play 3
My cousin turned me onto the Sonos play systems when I visiting his home. After a week of utilizing the Sonos system in his home, I looked into purchasing one for mine. I used to utilize and AUX cord plugged into my stereo, but when I donated the stereo I began looking for a replacement option. I can place the Play 3 in the picture frame cutout window in my wall between my kitchen and living room and the sound is incredible! No more blaring my computer speakers just to hear my music over the dishwasher or stove. Pros: Sleek design, fits well into any home environment without appearing bulky or an eye sore Amazing sound capabilities! Sonos system can be downloaded on any device! I utilize the Android app and Mac app for my desktop User friendly and easy set-up via your home network Can add more speakers to your songs system later on, I.E soundbar for TV or a speaker in another room Solid built and great quality Cons: So far I haven't run into any cons, other than the pricing is high. Good speaker
Sound is very good. Ease of use and connectivity is great. Good design. For s small room (to my ears) not much difference (if any) between this speaker and the smaller, less expensive Sonos 1 speaker which I also own. That's why 4 instead of 5 stars. A single Sonos 1 will easily sound great in a 12x14 room. As with something so subjective your mileage may vary of course. Simple to setup and use
I have 3 sets of existing speakers with a switch box and wanted a simple way to stream music to them. Sonos delivered this with the Connect Amp. Initial setup was super simple. Just connected the amp to the input of my switch box and ran setup from the dowloaded app. Up and running in under 10 minutes with my iTunes library, Pandora and Prime Music. Allowing other family members to control the system was as easy as downloading the app to their phones and doing a quick discovery. Sonos Play 3
After reading many reviews we chose the Sonos Play 3. The music library is on the computer downstairs, and even though the computer speakers are a great Bose sound, the sound was not reaching upstairs adequately. The Play 3 setup was simple. We have 1600 sf. upstairs of open floor space, and this unit fills it quite well. My wife keeps telling me how much she loves it, especially since she can control it from her phone and does not have to go downstairs to the computer. Love Sonos System
Have Sonos (wireless) sound bar, sub woofer and a bunch of Sonos Play 3 speakers... love them. The interface is easy to use and ties in well with all my online music sources including Amazon Prime (free music). A great system!
Initially I thought this also had Bluetooth capability. It is true WIFI will give a broader sound, but I have other devices that are Bluetooth I was hoping to use this with. It is a quick fix however, just purchase an adapter. That was the only slight issue I had with it. It is very easy to install and set up and it is nice and compact. I was using a Sony soundbar for music and it is a decent system, but comparing the two I notice the Sonos gives a robust and rich edge over the Sony. the play 3 is a good product. it is a good value in the sonos family of products. it fills the room with sound better then the 1 for sure, but not as well as the 5. i have one in my office and use it all day. i can play the music lower and fill the room so you can still talk. it has a wide dispersion of sound. i purchased mine on ebay at a good discount to the full retail price. i have 25 sonos products in my home and they work well. if you purchase a used model make sure you put it on your network properly so you don't have interference. sonos tech support will help if needed. tech support is as good as the product itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
