    Essential upgrade

    Seeking a replacement for my rather elderly Linn Mimik, purchased in 1995 and now only reading approx. 80% of my CDs, I discovered that Linn gave up producing a CD player several years ago. my quest for a "previously loved" machine that would represent an upgrade to my all Linn system. Enter stage left the rather lovely Linn Ikemi. From the serial number, seemingly a relatively early one. From the first silent hiss of the CD tray reeked quality. The sound is beautiful. Great special separation, even in my far from perfect room, and brightness of tone without sounding metallic and mechanical. Even my aged ears could immediately detect a difference in sound quality. I cannot praise it enough. If you are in a similar situation to me, then I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
