Very nice scope for the price.

Very clear, easy to focus and adjust zero. After boresighting, 4 shots had it zeroed perfectly. Be aware that the etched reticle doesn't go all the way to the edges of the field of view which is not what I'm used to but I don't mind it. If that was mentioned in any of the descriptions, I missed it. Reticle is also very fine so may be hard to pick up if you hunt thick dark woods in low light. For my type of open country hunting it should work perfectly.

    View

The view is smaller that my other scopes and they are cheepies.and i don' t like the cross hairs in the middle of the scope and not extending all the way out to the edge.

  • "Find What Matters" is Burris's slogan. I certainly did.

Burris has found a niche somewhat vacated by "the big boys" (Leupold, etc.), where they offer high quality optics at working man's prices. Styling is understated, construction is rock-solid, guarantee is "No Questions". This is my second Burris scope bought new, and I am not only satisfied, but extremely impressed with the quality, clarity and predictable consistent adjustments on this optic. 44 years of experience with rifles and telescopic sights requires quite a scope to leave such a favorable impression. This one was installed on a rather economical rifle (HR Handi Rifle,.223 heavy barrel), and launched the accuracy capability of this modest varminter to a level side-by-side with guns costing three times as much. I was a devotee for decades of "the big boys" that have recently stripped their product lines of many practical, reasonably priced full-featured scopes. and so Burris is now my "Go-To" for such products.

  • Great scope for the price !

The clarity of this scope is similar to much more expensive models . It is a little stiff on the power adjusting. The adjustable objective really clears up the view regardless of distance. I am not fond of the crosshairs as they do not go completely from side to side but I knew that when I ordered it and wanted to try it . It is a superb scope for my .17 HMR and is allowing me to make shots out to 300 yards . All in all , a good choice for the price !

  • Excellent scope. Ballistics matches numerous rounds.

Optics are clear & sharp. Love the etched reticle. Could use a little more magnification & turret clicks are a little mushy. Elevation lines match up well to a 224 Valkyrie (100 yards each) & also 17HMR (50 yards each).

  • Lightweight and has great features. Can't wait to zero it in.

Nice sleek scope and well balance. I buy Burris scopes for the very clear glass which this one seems awesome.

  • Great scope at a great price

I have tried most of the major brands of scopes in the mid range of price and Burris stands out is the best. This particular scope is my favorite. The E1 reticle is fine enough precise shooting and leaves a lot of open space so you can see what you're shooting at. I love the sight Focus, and the scope is crystal clear.

  • Great scope

I put this scope on a 17 hmr. I've used a handful of scopes of different makes and variable magnification levels. I like this scope very much. For me and the way I use it, I think it is ideal. And yes it is clear and bright.

  • You can actually see what you been missing

I have used Burris off and on since the early 80s , and after 40 odd years and 100s of scopes they have finally won. This $200 Burris is as good or better than any scope you can buy for under $650. The glass is clear, light transmission is fantastic and image quality is spot on edge to edge. I actually prefer these to the VX3i , it just has a better sight picture for hunting. All the adjustments are correct , shoot at 100 yards , measure where you hit and dial it in, second shot is where its supposed to be and your ready to move on out and start shooting. And something in there lense coating makes animals "stand out?" Not sure how to explain that one, but you can't shoot what you can't see and Burris helps you see better. Give one a try, you will love them to. Between Leupold, Vortex, Bushnell, S&B, and a dozen or so others i will spend my money on Burris from now on. They just plain work. I'm now using the E1 on 4 of my Encores and a Fullfield 2 on a Howa 22.250 , love these optics

  • Burris has a winner...

I am building up a rifle specifically intended for long-range marksmanship. For this use, I needed a scope that's up to the job. Power is only part of the eyesight equation. High quality lenses are another equally important part. I have already tried this scope out at extended ranges, and it works great. Now, if I can just do my part in this effort...
