Fixed the common Honda CVT judder
Early Honda CVT gearboxes were filled with ATF fluid and the manual states that the fluid should ideally be changed every 2-3years... original recommendation was to refill with ATF-DW1(or Z1), but now the general consensus is that Honda recommend only using CVT fluid for their CVT gearboxes. ATF versions are now only used for traditional automatic gearboxes. My Honda HR-V CVT developed the common and characteristic judder when moving from standstill - this is now completely cured by changing with this fluid. As for the fluid - every Honda forum recommends using genuine Honda fluids for their gearbox and differential - there are a few other brands that claim compatibility or the correct specification, but with those prices nearly the same as the genuine fluids, it isn't worth the risk.

Fantastic Improvement
This product is excellent,i have a honda with a cvt gearbox,which had developed a judder,on moving off,i drained the fluid that was in the gearbox,refilled with this,and after a drive the judder is gone,i am so pleased and impressed,and i would highly recommend it.

Almost magic!!
As hard as it might be to imagine, this fluid may well be all you need to stop your CVT Jazz from shuddering in Drive. To help out neighbour, looked into reasons why her Jazz was shuddering at low speeds. Shuddering was the whole car shaking with big time vibration from everywhere, Turns out that the web is full of help on how to fix, albeit sounding a little far fetched. Change the CVT fluid. That's it. Just a simple drain the old fluid, refill with new fluid (hardest bit is that it has to be filled via the dipstick hole with a long neck funnel) & the transformation is complete. I've worked on cars for 50+ years & have not come across a fix where such a simple process has made such a big difference. This is on a car where the owner has put up with shuddering for 'a couple of months' of local stop-start AND long distance trips, so wasn't expecting such positive results. Got doubts? Go for it, you won't regret it.

Completely fixed my car!

Sorted my cvt issues
Bought a HRV with cvt 'bump' from start off problem. Changing the cvt oil to this and using the stall test in D and R to clear the start clutch prior to draining, solved the problem and the box is now sweet. Worth every penny.

Don't use anything other than Honda CVT Fluid in a Honda CVT transmission, or you're asking for trouble. It doesn't hurt to change it twice as often as recommended either, compare the cost of this fluid with the cost of transmission repair or replacement.
