Small, lightweight , no moving parts & is fast
Very, very fast start up, used to take between 4-5 mins , now takes about 25 seconds. I had a 250Gb model & went up to this 500Gb & very pleased. Great value.
I received my order only a few days after buying it. The packaging could of been better because I only received brown paper in box that was clearly too big for the product. It came in the original packaging as advertised. I bought the SSD to replace my old 120GB Kingston SSD that I got about 4-5 years ago at a similar price. I'm probably only going to use it to run the operating system. But due to the fact that it's running at about 1/4 to 1/3 capacity it will probably last a really long time, because it will have plenty of spare NAND flash to act as a buffer. I now believe that I don't need another system SSD for a very long time. The installation and migration could of gone a lot smoother. Be sure to update the migration software otherwise it won't work. And once it is migrated go into disk management and fiddle with that until you get it working and wipe the old drive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Why didn't I do it sooner!
I was most impressed by the speed of delivery. As for the product, I had confidence in ordering it because of the Brand ant reputation and, to date, it is doing what I expected of it. It is certainly much faster than the previous HDD. I keep all my photos etc., on an external HDD so 500GB as opposed to the 1TB HDD is no great loss. Great value for money. P.S. This is my Second Drive
I purchased a refurnished laptop with a standard 500GD hard drive. I replaced that slow hard drive with this Samsung SSD drive and boot up and shut down times went from 10 seconds to almost immediate. The drive is super fast and accessing files like pictures are almost instantaneous. If you want to upgrade your laptop to become a much faster machine, this inexpensive purchase alone will dramatically change your performance experience of the laptop. After purchasing the first one to replace the drive of my present laptop, I also did the upgrade to my wife's laptop which had a slower processor and less memory and discovered the same fast performance difference on her laptop. New life for my desktop
Everything is superfast after installing the SSD. Its like my computer got a new life. Windows server 2016 used to take about 80 secs before whereas now its reduced to 25secs. Visual studio, Adobe suits and MS suit open in a jiffy. I am absolutely loving it. Most importantly data migration is so simple with Samsung's migration tool. Apart from that haven't done any major transfers yet but can tell that the performance has improved significantly. Another thing is its completely silent. Goodbye to the HDD.
I wanted to replace my HDD with an SSD, because the boot time of my computer was slow, but was put off by the price and the problems migrating my existing OS and all the data. However, the price of SSDs has fallen to where it is affordable, and Samsung supply software with the SSD that does the migration for you. Add to this the 5 year warranty and its a must. The drive arrived in less than 2 days from order and was up and running in less than 2 hours. Boot time has fallen to seconds, the drive is silent, and uses less energy (runs cool). Solid state drive
After I had problems with my desktop pc hard drive I decided that a solid state drive might be worth investing in. So as prices have come down a good bit I bought one. This one came with a cd rom which would allow cloning of the existing windows operating system only it wouldn’t as it was only designed to work on windows 8 or below. It required a download of the latest software. That done the cloning went fairly well after I found I had to transfer media files to another drive. Give an old laptop a new lease of life
Upgraded a v ery old laptop with it. I used Macrium to clone the existing disk and then simply replaced it. All went very smoothly.
