Monoprice headphones has a bit more bass then I expected and more bass then my old headphones so I have to fiddle around with my sound enhancer software to make it sound better but in general they sound good and they cost much less then their famous brand competitors. I would say try them out for yourself and see if they are right to you because what may sound good to me may not sound good to you. I'm satisfied with my purchase.
I bought these Monoprice headphones for the really affordable price of $26 INCLUDING SHIPPING (!).. At that super reasonable price they even include an extra headphone cable and an adaptor to plug the 3.5 mm jack into a 1/4 inch "home audio" type headphone jack... amazing.
These headphones were purchased to replace a much more expensive pair of Koss headphones ($119) that failed after only one year of light use.
I bought the Monoprice 'phones with the plan to eventually replace them with something more upscale (read: pricey) but I find the Monoprice sonics to be musical and have wide bandwidth with great bass punch.. I see no reason to upgrade. I'm happy-- they are not true "high end" or audiophile headphones, but they DO deliver sound that is better than several other headphones I have owned for computer use costing up to $120. Great bargain headphones!
I use these Monoprice headphones with my Apple iMac and a Google Chrome Book to monitor digital audio sources and view media / audio content; they are more than capable for this usage; The Monoprice headphones are very comfortable (at least for the 1-2 hours max time I might use them at a single listening session)
Best of all, these headphones are extremely easy to drive to loud volume levels without an external headphone amp. Plenty of volume even with just a smartphone as a source (if you can still get a smartphone with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack by the time you read this!).
After 5-6 hours of break-in the mids really open up and they sound comes into sharper focus.
Really amazing sounding headphones for the price. The aux cord it comes with is kinda flimsy but it's removable and it brings 2 (one with a mic, one without). Would definitely recommend these to anybody on a budget. 8/10
