I use this for firewood. It's easy to use, giving instant readout with colour coded backlighting for easy interpretation of readings. Takes 2x AAA batteries, much cheaper than the PP3 most other meters seem to take. Why didn’t I buy one sooner ?
It’s made lighting the fire easier , I have mixed wood in the store - some seasoned - some from last year - other logs kiln dried - and can now see what is ready to burn and what needs to left longer. I thought I could make an accurate guess, going by weight and the feel of the logs BUT NO !! it turns out I can’t 🙂, this shows exactly what the moisture content is. Would recommend this little gem
