This is a Machine of a drill! Enormously refined and powerful so concentrate while using it or it may bite you with it’s enormous torque. Amazing Makita DHP481Z costs a bit more but its worth it!
I bought this drill from uk planet tools Ltd. There service was superb! I initially had a fault with the battery which they sorted out immediately. The drill is just what I wanted. Strong but heavy
When I bought it it was Makitas strongest drill for a good price. One year later: To be honest... I almost never use the handle and it is a pain to store it. The handle is much bigger that makita other models. The only time you would need the extra torque and the handle to protect from it is if you don't have a hammer drill or impact driver and want to do some really serious drilling. It is a bit heavy so not something you would use for putting in normal screws. I use a much nimbler Festool for my everyday screwing needs instead. If you do a lot of drilling with gig bits then it is a good choice. If you drill holes in concrete --> u still need a hammar drill If you are doing mostly screwing --> buy a impact driver (big screws) and/or smaller drill (small screws) I would buy it again since I already have the other tools above and this will come handy someday... but if you are looking for something good and general purpose... you should probably think twice about your actual needs and buy a tool more suitable for that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
