Why pay more for internet security when you can get a year for under £6. I have purchased licences like this before and like this time I have had no problems. OK, But could do MUCH BETTER.
Works well - I think, but am unable to contact McAfee with bugs in the software. 1) Most things you can schedule use a 24 hour clock but NOT the "Scan Scheduler", which uses a 12 hour clock with AM/PM. Set this for 1PM (13:00) on a Saturday and it doesn't work. 2) When I use "Check for Updates", this works OK but then comes back with "Automatic Updates: ON, Next check for updates on Monday, 19 January 1970 19:32". McAfee Internet Security has been my peferred programme of choice for a number of years due to its stable nature. Having used competitors security packages, such as Norton and Kapersky, that appear to be resource hungry, intrusive or buggy in their execution, McAfee seems to not have these inherent flaws. McAfee Internet Security has a simple set up process, although an account has to be created, along with a valid email address. Its interface is clean, easy to use, and powerful if you wish to delve under the hood, but has most situations covered when installed and needs minimum intervention. There's a browser extension that's available which reports on the safety of web sites as you surf. Not the first time I have used this Seller and I have stayed with McAfee for more years than I can remember. As I don't go anywhere 'interesting' I guess it has an easy life but so far I've not seen a virus. So far! Bought this in Dec 21 to renew on 6 Feb 22 (that's today) - easy peasy, no problems, t once I found where to enter my code on McAfee's website that is. After that, it was all plain sailing. Cleaning off any past McAfee installation recommended after uninstall. Cleaner free off McAfee. New design introduced this year has a few useful deeper setting missing and seems a little slower than previous editions. Otherwise a good product which I have used for about 8 years and recommended. When you install this it can take time, especially if you have a previous McAfee product because it has to be uninstalled first so that you dont get conflicts between the old and new programs. When you have installed it MAKE SURE you go in and find the renewal page and make sure you tick the box NOT TO AUTO RENEW. If you dont do this, McAfee will go into your bank account and remove a fee from your account. Our last one was £89 and it took ten days to get it back; MAKE SURE you do this. I never renew that way because it cost exorbitantly more than just buying a new product online, which you can do for up to £10, but before you buy it make sure that the seller states he will email you with the 25bit digit installation code. IF the seller wants you to log into a email account to install it DONT DO IT. Always make sure you know they will email you the code BEFORE you buy the product; take a careful note of it and enter it when installing the new product.
