Value Iron
This second hand iron was a gamble but it worked out. I wanted a heavier iron and it is so with plenty of steam. I saved £30.00 on the iron which had had limited use and showed a few slight, superficial scratches on the plate; no problem. My previous iron was lightweight and only lasted 18 months from new. I think a heavier iron is an advantage because it makes better smoothing progress. I would not buy a lightweight iron now. Re- purchase of an excellent iron
After 6 years of frequent usage, my Bosch iron just stopped working (kept blowing several fuses oh the circuit.) I had been so pleased with the overall performance and ease of use of the iron that I looked at the Bosch range and was delighted to see that the very same model was still available …testament, perhaps, of its popularity?
