  • Very Disappointing

With such a compelling title you would think this book would be scintillating, but it is not. I found it very hard going, and believe the whole story could have been better told, and in half the amount of pages (and I'm being generous here). The first five chapters are more like a historical fact sheet, and the rest is along the lines of..in the morning they had breakfast, in the afternoon they had lunch. OK I am being a tad unfair and exaggerating, but you get the idea? I'm sorry but I didn't enjoy at all.

  • Lady Worsley

Another great read from Reubenhold. If you love social history you will love this book. A large part of the story is set in court which surprised me but actually there is so much to learn about how this was conducted during the 18th century. Looking forward to my next Reubenhold read!

  • A good read

A very interesting read and an extraordinary life led by Lady W, perhaps not considered so scandalous by today’s standards.
