Nearly full marks!
I would have given this toaster 5 stars except that it does not have a switch to operate only one of the two slots if one is toasting either one or two slices of bread. It's my fault that I didn't query this before ordering, as there is nothing in the item description which highlights this omission. Having had 4-slice toasters before, and always with a switch to isolate one bank of elements, I just assumed this was also the case here. As things stand now, you have to have both banks of elements working whether you like it or not. If this is important for you, don't buy this toaster.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Takes ages to toast
It toasted well the very first time I used it and then it simply took too long. I have to put the control onto maximum and then repeat it once or twice to get the bread toasted adequately. It's a very basic model as well. I only bought it for the long slots so that I could toast pitta bread as well ordinary bread as no other retailer was selling toasters with the long slots - why I cannot comprehend! Nice product for the price but one side always comes out darker than the other no matter what setting it is on. It looks presentable on the countertop and the fact it will accommodate wide slices or long slices is nice or even the odd time when four slices are needed toasting at the same time.
