Great product for $50 a piece
This is not a top of the line kick pad by any means. But what I am using it for is to integrate into my acoustic set along with some other pads. I have two of these now and they sit side by side on the right of my acoustic kick for more accessibility to more pads.(typically super low tones) The KD-7 is smaller but I have the room and it looks pretty cool under my kit. the KD-10s are more responsive but at least double the price. If you want responsive go with mesh.

compact and responsive
very happy with this trigger. Even though it is compact the striking surface is plenty large enough for twin beaters used for double bass drum pedals. The plastic beater heads seemed to work better than the felt sides of the beater. At less than half the price of the triggers with large mesh heads its very affordable.
