Set in the midst of the French and Indian War, Rogue lets players control Shay as he evolves from a dedicated Assassin into a killer who hunts his former brethren, and the action moves from the crowded streets of 18th-century New York City to the river valleys of colonial America and out into the iceberg-laden waters of the North Atlantic Ocean.<br><br>Being both a Templar and a former Assassin means Shay has unique weapons and abilities, including a grenade launcher and an air rifle that can be used to fire off various projectiles and enhanced eagle vision that lets him detect hiding Assassins. Rogue also continues the franchise's latter-day sailing exploits, with gamers taking the helm of the <i>The Morrigan</i> to fight through the frigid North Atlantic and navigate through narrow river passages. The bridge from last to current gen.
First off, this game is a companion to Assassin's Creed Unity. Developed and released at the same time, this game ends where Unity starts. Overall, the gameplay can be a little buggy, but is worth every minute. The story will keep the game moving as you understand more about the series as a whole. From returning characters like Haytham Kenway and Achilles to new Assassins and Templars, there is more than enough to keep you busy for awhile. Naval battles make a return, and are more fluid than previous games. I highly recommend giving this game a playthrough if you are a fan of the series, or are wanting to know more about the backstory to Unity.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A dark, complex and thought provoking story.
Shay, a betrayed and left for dead Assassin turns to his worst enemies the Templar Order for the right reasons. He wants to save human life and will stop at nothing to protect the innocent, including tracking down and killing the people he once called brothers who are fixated on controlling powerful artifacts that if disturbed cause the Earth to collapse. This entry in Assassin's Creed shows that the Templars are not always evil, and the Assassin's are not always good. Shay has remorse for every kill he commits, because he understands that the Assassins are misguided. Full of conflict and character growth, this story is the best Assassin's Creed I've played to date.
