Fun for Everyone
I gave this to my mother who placed it in the kitchen window. It's recommended the bird stay near a 76 degree temperature to work best, and in the winter the sun can hit it. It does stop after a certain time at night due to being too cold to work, but resumes again in the morning. Anyways, she likes it a lot and the grand kids like to encourage the bird to get a drink. The glass part makes the bird less durable and the frame it is on is not particularly sturdy, yet it's not meant to be played with, but rather watched. As a glass of water is needed, I don't recommend it around electronics. The size of the glass of water is not given, but we used a short juice glass that is about the height of where the bird is when bent at a 45 degree angle. I received the blue bird but it has a yellow not blue tail feather. The legs are white. Unsure if changing the feather to another color would change the balance of the bird, so we didn't change it to be patriotic. You can also hold the birds butt in your hand and the liquid will rise just as science taught us. Although the packaging is a bit flimsy, I was glad it came unbroken. Very nice toy
