Worth the effort putting it together.
As previous reviewers have said it's not that easy to put together but I think it is definitely worth persevering. I managed to do it by myself in an afternoon. Had a couple of screws missing but just popped to the £1 shop and got some spares. My hamster is so much happier with the extra space. He has built his nest under the bottom shelf on the floor and loves it in there. He obviously feels safe and warm. Good in theory but poorly packed.
I bought this for a Syrian hamster who was chewing her metal cage. When it arrived one of the small wooden pieces had broken off so I had to chisel off the broken wood and glue. I then had to nail and glue the wood piece back on so I could mount all the platforms. Also there is no suitable mount for a water bottle so i assembled one myself though they can be purchased or you could use a bowl. Also as the wood is unfinished i decided to varnish the cage to protect against urine soaking into the wood.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I was a bit skeptical about getting this cage as it is wooden and wasn’t sure if my hamster would chew his way out but he hasn’t so that’s a plus. The cage is really easy to put together although I recommend getting a silicone grip bottle as there is no where for a water bottle unless screwed in with a wire to hold the bottle but other than that I recommend this cage my Charles loves it x

Good cage just a few faults
This cage is excellent when built, provides plenty of space and looks nice however, it’s difficult to build because the holes aren’t already there and mine came with missing screws. Happy Hamster
This is a great cage, giving a better quality of life to a hamster. The stages give added climbing potential add opportunities to place food at different levels for him to find. He enjoys making his bed under the lower level which affords privacy and shelter. My hamster loves it!
My hamster has been cleaning himself and hasn't been making any noise, a decent size and flexible. With a bit more wood and DIY u can expand it to ur hamsters needs. A good product worth taking time to assemble carefully
A very nice place for my hamster to live. Did make a few alterations during build such as fitting self-adhesive floor tiles for hygeine purposes, an extra piece of wood for saw chipping retention and some precautionaŕy magnetic catches to the lifting top. OK for animals for play

Good cage just use different screws
Easy to put together ☺️ but the screws for the platforms are to short so you need to use different ones to hold them up! But other than that it is a great cage
