nice looking phone & features
When i first received the new galaxy core prime it looked smart nice screen and nice back cover with stainless steel surrounds on first boot it guides you through a series of menus to get your WiFi connection and enter your name etc . then my particular phone needed 4 android updates before it finally settled down , having a google account meant as i connected to gmail all my contacts came into my phone and it was more or less set to go . i found that using my phone alot meant the battery soon drained down and warned me at 30% that the battery was low. yet on standby the battery is excellent . The phones storage has a slot for a micro sd card which is very necessary as the internal storage is only 8gb and 4gb has already been used by the phones apps, so make sure you have a micro sd card to store your pics and apps on . Overall i like this phone its nice to use and although not very fast it does the job , the speaker is not very loud but not too bad. Internet use was just about ok with pinch and zoom, you get all the usual google apps and planner, clock, radio, calculator, memo, home screen has just 2 screens but more can be added, apps and widgets are also available in this phone. texting and phone call are like most Samsung phones but the keypad on this phone was useless , eg when i hit backspace it kept putting an lllllll on screen so i downloaded a new keyboard from the play store and all is well now so not a major problem.. if you’re on a budget and can’t afford to spend over a ton, this is a good buy, i bought mine eBay which was in a sealed box with headphones and battery and booklets. i would give this phone 8 out of 10 mainly value for money decent camera, clear phone calls, etc and it does mostly what you need it for .. good luck..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Except, that wasn't true. This phone has definitely been used, evidenced by all the downloaded stuff. And it's been used A LOT, judging by the battery's lack of charge retention - 51% and then it's dead. So really not as advertised. But it actually suits my needs though, so I'm content. This is the 2nd Galaxy Core Prime I've had. I like them for their compactness - easy to slip into my pocket or shoulder bag. The screen is perfectly big enough for me - even to watch movies on. I have had the Galaxy core prime for a fortnight now and the only downer was no instructions in English just a brown paper which were of no help. I had to download the instructions online.
