Everything Good About Detective Series
What an excellent series of programmes these are! A Touch of Cloth is, all at the same time, drama, comedy and slapstick with a touch of pathos. John Hannah plays the lead role, Cloth; a first class detective with baggage. He is ably assisted by Surrane Jones as his long suffering sidekick, and a strong supporting cast who make the three episodes compulsive viewing. Each episode is a whodunnit, with the baddie in plain view throughout the program. Good viewing, laugh aloud funny, with cringeworthy dialogue to match.
