You get what you pay for
I have tried a wide variety of wireless earbuds and these are the best. The sound quality is superb and the noise cancelling works both intuitively and effectively. There is a phone App where you can monitor the charge to case and buds. It also has a range of automatic and manual equaliser settings to fine tune the sound to your taste. The high and mid-tones are very good. bass less so but the balance works. The microphone is exceptional and even in high wind the noise cancelling filters out 99% of the background noise. The ear fit is comfortable for long periods. As with all earbuds the choice of ear tip is crucial. Worth experimenting with foam and silicone to find a fit that works for you. Remember all ear buds have a small rechargeable battery inside and the performance will degrade over time. It is possible to change the battery (see YouTube) but it is tricky. You'll need fine motor skills and some basic tools to do it. These are not the cheapest but both the sound quality and microphone make it more of a premium product whereas others compromise on one or the other. It gets 4 Stars because to change the battery inside the earbuds is not really a serviceable part and it should be.Verified purchase: Yes

Hi-tech but bulky with awkward app
Despite the stellar reviews, these sound pretty ordinary to me. As with all in ear phones, they need good contact (pressing in firmly) to get good bass. I know they are as small as they can be, but the technology is just too bulky to be comfortable. The black ones are less obvious, the white ones would make anyone stand out in a bad way in a crowd. As is routine, the instructions are scant and printed in tiny text in 20 languages. They expect you to load yet another app onto your android device. Ear Buds that are difficult to fault
These Sony Ear Buds were reconditioned. They arrived well packed and with all the accessories brand new. The earbuds were in perfect condition and looked brand new. The quality of the sound is excellent and the stereo clarity is second to none when compared to the standard run of the mill ear buds available. I was keen to buy a quality brand with a good review and these were without doubt the best all round ear buds that suited my needs. I am not able to give any comparison to the other competition, the likes of Bose or Galaxy but I can say that I am not disappointed, nor do I regret buying Sony having read all the reviews concerning the alternative ear buds available.Verified purchase: Yes

Finally upgraded to xm4 and we'll impressed. Noise cancelling great but you must get proper bud fitting. Companion app gives loads of options inc. equaliser and is cool. Beautiful looks and quality feel to them and they managed to increase battery life to 8 hrs. Smaller than xm3, both buds and case. 2 extra charges from the case and fast charge of buds in 'emergency' to get 50 % quickly. Would recommend definitely. Great bit of kit! silky smooth sound, great base and for once a very useful app.
Very impressed, silky smooth sound and for once an app that is actually really useful. You quite often pay a premium for Sony equipment but in this case it’s definitely worth it (possibly not £200). I bought mine 2nd hand and they were like new, so it’s worth having a look around. Work great when watching a film or listening to music, 360 Audio is a nice touch as well. As for how they feel once in, we’ll I’ve got to say I was very pleasantly surprised to find them super comfy and unbelievably lightweight… would I feel confident they wouldn’t fall out on a run… well no, but then I don’t think I’d feel 100% with any buds running and these earbuds in my opinion would be wasted on a run as I don’t think you’re ever listening for the pitch perfect performance, rather than a simple distraction. Overall a very solid 4.5/5… I hate to give anything 100% but this was close. As all the awards would suggest the best earbuds on the market in my opinion as well. Excellent replacement
Perfect replacement for water damaged earbud. Instructions worked perfectly however in IOS it is best to select "forget device" in the bluetooth settings of the previous paired earphones.
