This book really makes you think, although at times I thought it was a little far fetched...you need some imagination for this one. It made me laugh out loud at times, and that's a rare commodity these days. So, give it a go, it's certainly worth the reading. This is a well-written book set just after the Second World War in the North east of England. It is an interesting insight into that period and the deprivations which still lasted.
