I bought these not expecting great results as they were much cheaper than the others on sale but I was very pleasantly surprised! I only use these flossers for my front lower teeth -- central 8 teeth gaps -- (in addition using interdental brushes there) to keep down the tartar build up behind. For back teeth I only use interdental brushes. These flossers have very strong thread and I have not yet broken one inserting it into the gaps -- my previous flossers used to regularly break after little use, as several of my gaps are very tight at the top of the teeth.
