THIS IS PRODUCT IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND!
I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a progressive condition that gradually worsens over time. It causes the collagen that my body produces to be faulty, my tendons and ligaments over stretch so my joints have more range of movement and therefore public or fully dislocate. Kyphosis and mild scoliosis and have caused neck pain for a long time. I lost the lordosis (the natural curve in my neck) and after a minor collision a small jolt was all it took to lodge my neck vertebrae into each other. My physiotherapist had to traction pull my head to realign my neck, but with a straight neck and that injury I am now finding that it happens frequently since the accident. This collar tractions gently, allowing the bones to slowly and far less abruptly become dislodged and return to being n their separate state. But it's also supports my neck when I haven't the strength to hold my head up. It takes a little getting used to, but I have got used to it and love it! It helps with the intracranial pressure based migraines I get too. If you have EDS or cranial neck instability, or have lost the lordosis due to illness or accidents, or even suffer a whiplash injury and long term need support, I highly recommend this product.
