  • The best TV currently on the market

I already had a 55" LG C8 OLED and I loved it but wanted something a little bigger and found this model on Ebay for less than the price of the cheaper LG C9 at most retailers. The picture quality is phenomenal for movies and games and this TV has all of the next-gen ready features for PS5 and Xbox Series X like variable refresh rate, auto-low latency mode, and 4K at 120Hz. As a gaming TV it's the best on the market (well, it and the C9 which are identical) as it has the lowest input lag of any TV you can buy currently and it is one of the only, if not the only TV on the market currently to have true HDMI 2.1 support. The 2020 LG OLEDs will bring Dolby Vision IQ but otherwise should be mostly identical to the 2019 models as the 2019 OLEDs were already bleeding edge due to their support of HDMI 2.1 a year before every other TV brand. Whether waiting for Dolby Vision IQ is worth it will depend on what the lighting conditions are like in your room. The 2019 models already featured a light sensor assisted dynamic tone mapping algorithm for HDR content so the real world improvements brought by Dolby Vision IQ aren't clear yet. If you're considering this or the C9 keep in mind the both TVs have identical image quality and performance, you're paying more for the fancier picture on glass design with the E9. To most people this is probably not worth the premium hence LG's decision to discontinue the E series, but it is a nicer product overall. I know I never would have bought the E9 at its suggested price over the C9 but for the premium over the C9 that some Ebay sellers are charging, it's worth it in my opinion because it is a nicer looking TV overall.

  • TV needs improvements

This TV needs to have dozens of settings manipulated to have a good picture. The Vivid and Standard selections have the best color. The other picture selections have an off-color, even after multiple adjustments. The AI seems to adjust the picture from fuzzy to clear after a few minutes for screen resolution. I can see every light and even a small window reflected in the TV screen. I think my E7 had a better picture quality and less screen reflections.
