The Mighty Midget
This Majority Eddington radio compares very favourably with a Sony equivalent I own but which cost virtually twice the price. The Eddington has an excellent display screen providing all the station and programme content you might wish to know but much of the print is small requiring me to use my reading spectacles. Setting up and tuning DAB+ is very simple and the pre-set station buttons are easy to programme. The only minor criticism is the small ON/OFF slider switch on the side of the radio which may prove a bit fiddly for someone with large hands or with limited use of their fingers. As with the Sony radio I mentioned earlier, the sound is excellent from such a tiny receiver and most unlike the tiny transistor radios I remember from the swinging 60s which had a truly awful sound. From where I live in the east of Greater London there are a lot of DAB stations that can be hauled in by this radio. The rechargeable battery seems to last a reasonable time and is easy to recharge via the supplied micro-usb to usb lead which needs then to be plugged into a usb socket that supplies power. The Eddington is so small it will fit in any trouser or coat pocket and it's very light in weight. Excellent radio
This radio is very small, but the sound quality is excellent. The reception is not brilliant where I am and I found that it would not get a signal when plugged in to the mains, un-plug it though and the signal works well.
