Make your own mind up
This is my second m18ccs55 the first one unfortunately developed a fault early on but was intermittent foolishly I didn't get it repaired but as time went on it was not worth getting it out of the box the issue was that it would work ok I'd put it down and a minute later it was dead the work light came on but that's all it might not work then for a few day Silly me I didn't take it for repair until the one year warranty had run out (I didn't register so no three year warranty) "fool" When I was in the repair shop another guy there was having the same issue Having said all this when it worked it was great lots of power but you will need at least a 5ah battery power needs power Why have I bought another ? I've got plenty of batteries so I hope I've got a good un And I've registered for the 3yr warranty as I've been told it would be repaired no quibble Time will tell!! good safe saw cuts clean on supplied blade.
Lots of power good on battery drain I have 4 amp. Easy to set depth . You need to set blade to full height and pull up guard to stand up .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great saw highly recommended
I bought this as an upgrade to my Parkside circular saw, which was surprisingly good but had very limited battery life. The Milwaukee uses the same batteries as the drill and thus a bare unit worked well. saw is good for straight cuts and bevels and with the guide I managed to cut a 5 metre plank in half lengthwise. the built in light is good for seeing exactly where the blade is going and the notch at the front can be lined up for longer cuts. i miss the Parkside's laser! Manual is a bit Ikeaish but does come in a couple of dozen languages.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Powerful saw
Admittedly, I've come from using a Ryobi 18V circular saw and this saw is about twice the price. However, the difference in power and performance is well worth the extra cost. It's lightweight (although a bit heavier than the Ryobi) and very robust. Battery life seems good as well.
