Good product, easy to apply
I used this on my new decking about 5 years ago and I've just re oiled it using the same product, (after a good pressure wash). Coverage is very good. Because it's oil based it is very easy to apply and it doesn't flake or peel like water based stains. I used natural and red cedar.

Best stuff on the market
I'm a professional Decorator and I've used this oil based decking oil for years and I would never use anything else it seals and leaves a paint film on the wood which repels the rain not like the water based oil which doesn't leave a paint film that lasts so by the next year the water based oil has disappeared. I actually have used it on my garden furniture and its sealed it and it looks fantastic I thin the first coat so it gets into the wood then 2 coats of undiluted oil and that's it lasts years.

Super Ronseal
Like all Ronseal products, this 'does what it says on the can.' My decking was bleached white. I bought a 5 litre can of Natural which should have been enough to cover the decking twice. But the can said to 'drench' the first coat. I had no option, the decking soaked it up so quickly that it was difficult to spread it! It was touch dry within an hour and it looks a lot better. I had to buy a second 5 litre can so I could put down a second coat but that may have to wait until next year now. Excellent product, confidently recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good decking oil
I’ve used other decking oils before, this seems to be the best. The oil is slightly darker than I expected but isn’t a problem. Wood looks much better now treated and is shedding water well. New decking probably needs a couple of coats, my decking is nearly ten years old so I power wash it then let it dry before giving it one coat oil.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ronseal Decking Oil
Not actually used it yet, but because its Ronseal I am sure it will be fine. I was very happy with the price as other outlets were selling 2.5 litre containers for £18. Ronseal = Quality, but use two coats!
