Bent post on one of the original brackets far too easily. Checked carefully that diameter (important) and length of these posts was near enough identical to originals. Checked feedback and ordered. Pleasantly surprised to find that these brackets appear to be an improvement engineering and quality wise on the brackets that came with toilet seat ! Brilliant Design, but Doesn't Fit Toilet Seat Hinges
The idea of nog having any part of the fixing mechanism under the toilet pan is brilliant. The system works like a raw plug - like when fixing things to a wall on your home. Push the rubberised probe into the hole and as you tighten the screw from the top the probe swells and locks everything solidly in place. Far more secure than the original fitting. However.... the posts to which the toilet seat fixes are not the industry standard thickness, being 8mm in diameter, whereas the hinge is drilled to accept 6mm. I did get around this by drilling the locating hole to the 8mm bore, but as these are stainless steel they were quite difficult. The pack really needs to have appropriately sized hinges included, or the design already to have 6mm diameter posts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I had just about given up trying to find a solution. Time will tell
The fitting this replaced was all metal and we used to get some issues with rust. The base of these hinges are hard plastic (ABS?), so might be better than the old ones. The plastic part is covered by the metal cap. Only time will tell if they last as long.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but .......
Good quality item, quite sturdy and a good price BUT I have given up on top fix toilet seats. The fixings are OK for a short while but come loose very soon. This is the third type I've tried and I've gone back to the good old fashioned butterfly bottom fix. Sadly docent Fit
Unfortunately it didn't fit correctly. I thought they would be a fairly standard fit, these have a thicker base plate than my originals which stops the Seat from tilting completely back, so any poor small people could possibly be hit over the head by the returning seat, and even drowned. Stay in place when seated.
A brilliant idea It fixed my moving seat problem in 2 minutes but there was one hiccup which was that the size of the Pins were to big so I just changed them over hiccup solved.
