Truly Universal
This was a repeat order of the same product (but not necessarily the same Seller) to replace one I bought a few years ago to serve as a stand-in charger for occasional use with devices whose chargers had failed. However, one of our DECT phone charger failed and my existing Universal Charger was enlisted permanently to replace it at the fraction of the cost of Genuine BT ones. So I just had to get another one immediately as a standby as it's voltage selector and many connectors with polarity selection makes it truly universal to replace any other failures in the future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OVERLY COMPLICATED - NOT FOR THE UNINITIATED!
Well it works, and it has a decent long lead (1.8m I think it was) but for me it's over complicated. The worst aspect is the ridiculous, unfathomable markings on the various ends, and the related instructions about getting the polarity right. It's important to get them the right way round, but they make it next to impossible to figure out, and the explanatory diagram is a joke, even if you have a magnifying glass to read it! It would have been so easy to simply put a big + sign on one side for "centre positive" and a big - sign on the other side for "centre negative" instead of a diagram that would only mean something to an electrical engineer. If you do buy it, be careful you don't damage your equipment by getting this wrong..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does what it says on the can.
Like many so others having searched high and low lost the charger supplied product, having looked on line for an original replacement with out success . This charger fitted the bill, but can be used elsewhere with the range of adapters supplied, would recommend as a replacement or standby mains to dc voltage chargers. Perfect for my needs
I bought a stand-alone battery powered PIR alarm for my garage. It gets through batteries at an alarming (ahem!) rate but fortunately it has a 6v DC power input. Relatively good for the money. Could be better.
I have purchased this to use it mainly as a PSU for Arduino. However I wanted to have a voltage close enough to 5v. With this PSU my multimeter was reporting 5.4V when the 5V was selected which might be a bit over spec for some components. However this was relatively easy to fix by changing R27 inside from a 1k2 to 1k5 resistor. Now I get 4.98V on the 5V selection. Other than this it does the job well and does not heat up too much just slightly warm.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
