Amazing Wi-Fi Controlable Switch !
The Belkin WeMo Light switch is a good buy, It was super easy to install, and the house I live in has a very old electrical system, yet connected perfectly. The only fault I find sometimes as I use my Amazon TAP to control it is, sometimes it might take a time or two through voice control for Alexa app to operate the switch, but besides that, works like a dream. Good for remote switch control at a single location
The WEMO smart switch is a clever product allowing remote control via smart phone plus manual operation. The only problem is that a single smart phone can control WEMO devices only at one location within a fairly limited area. Have more than one location? You'll need another smart phone. This is a shortcoming of the software/network, not a physical problem with the product itself. It should be addressed by Belkin, the manufacturer, but as of now that has not happened.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I use this switch for my back yard light. I have the exact same one for my Porch Light where I scheduled for Night time and it works perfect. Smart Home Getting Smarter
This is third Wemo i've installed. I like the ability to control lights from anywhere even when I am traveling. That being said, I had a bit of trouble with installion of the switch ordered from Ebay. It would not register to any of my wifi devices. I did call Belkin for support and they were great. The rep walked me through a factory reset which I would never have figured out on my own. He had me hold down a button for 1 second and another button for 5 seconds. I didn't even know the switch has buttons. Anyway, switch workds great. I plan to add several more in the future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple to install and use, better than other switches I’ve tried.
My daughter uses an Amazon Echo for music, in-home communication, etc. After installing the WeMo light switch, she can now voice command and schedule control the lights in her room. Very simple hookup, tap on/off manual operation, Alexa and WeMo app controls. Very happy with this device.

Several Wemo devices have been working perfectly for me!
Okay, so I AM a licensed C10 electrical contractor , and I am also a Home IoT systems installer systems integrator, so...this was pretty straight forward for me. BUT...if you are not an electrician, and line voltage makes you queasey...this may be best left for a qualified electrician. Just a little heads-up. My wemo switch
This does what you want- turns lights on and off and it works with alexa. Not only does it switch on/off, you can program it to turn on at. A certain time, or so many min before dusk. Works well and is reliable.
I mainly use the Wemo products since I started with them and don't want dozens of apps due to chasing deals from all the other vendors.
