Whilst listening to subwoofer's in our test room prior to dispatch we are constantly reminded how good two of the Gemini subwoofer's sound. Boasting a 300W RMS (600W peak) amplifier coupled to a 2 x 10" " drive units in a sealed enclosure to produce a deep, musical and dynamic subwoofer that can not only shake the room when required but can be subtle and refined, making the Double Gem the ideal subwoofer for both Hi-Fi and movies.
I have had this unit for approx 1 month and tried it on many different music genre's. Overall the sound quality is excellent given the geometry limits of the room it's used in. It works very well with my KEF LSX units and allows me to get the best from them.
My only slight negative is there appears to be a 90 hz constant background buzz from the unit, which is noticeable at low volume levels.
The unit has definitely added to the stereo imaging and to the overall performance of my system. Should have invested in this earlier.
Best purchase for a long time, quality product simple but solid design and build with enough class to fit in without looking out of place, oh and the sound ain’t half bad, makes my system rumble with a purpose fantastic bit of kit.
I had a monitor audio mass 300 which stopped working so whilst my son (electrician) had a look for the problem I started searching for replacement… I have a eel 1205 which I bout for 349 a couple years ago but the price is over £600 now. Seen bkelectronics advertised and asked in a a/v forum of its quality etc. found out that the owner or bkelectronics used to work for rel.
found this double gem advertised so I just bought it.
Totally not dissapointed - the depth and tone of the bass in music is fantastic but watching TopGun Maverick on blu-ray, gave it a whole new dimension… solid ground wobbling sound blew me away.
Well constructed and although big, it’s well worth the money and I highly recommend it (imho).
